Nature compels us to recognize the fact of mutual dependence...The deeper we look into nature, the more we recognize that it is full of life, all life is a secret, and we are united with all life that is in nature... 

Only by means of "reverence for life" can we establish a spiritual and humane relationship with both people and all living creatures within our reach...
